Can’t recommend this board, VRM temps over 100c, I had to put a fan blowing directly over it to keep, it in check.
Overclocking was finicky and half the time would not overclock from bios so I had to use amd ryzen master. Super annoying to always have to open ryzen master every time I load into Windows.
It also doesn’t have a optical output which I needed for my audio setup, so ended up returning it.
Gotta say, overclocking the ryzen 7 take much more time then my i7, and don’t get me started on how long it took me to find the right settings just so my ram would run at 3066mhz.

But in the end I’m satisfied with my ryzen 7 over my 2700k @ 4.6ghz. Games feel smoother, didn’t increase my fps by much, maybe a little. But multitasking is night and day difference. Yes the 2700k can run current games just fine, but try to do more then just that at the same time and you can really feel it slow down. Anyone on the fence about upgrading their first gen i7, if all you want is more fps, don’t do it, but if you want to multitask while gaming, then its a no brainer the ryzen 7 kills it in multitasking.

BroGamer says:

what about the ryzen 5 1500x ???????????????????????????

James Eisner says:

cant wait to get this i got it for 84 bucks

Lighter ST says:

I want to get this board but I’m really concerned about this m.2 slot under the GPU. Is it going to have a huge effect on SSD’s temperature? That’s the only thing stopping me from buying it. I’m not yet planning to buy any fans

Farhan Akhtar says:

I’m planning to buy ryzen 5 2400g APU. Which board is best for me. What about Gigabyte Ax370m?

Morhaf S says:

I bricked the bios of my B35p Tomahawk mobo.
I tried to restore it by copying the original bios on a flash drive connected to the rear but it didn’t work!
Any ideas how to fix it without sending it to MSI support?

NP: I bought it 2 weeks ago and the machine has only been running for 3 days!

Aceman says:

My Ethernet port died after a month on this

Jolo De dios says:

Does this motherboard also support Ryzen 5 1600X?

Nicolas Sander says:

I think the sound chip on the more expensive one has 7.1 surround where the micro atx board doesnt. Also there is a newegg promo to get the larger 350 board for nearly same price as the micro.. its either a promo code or its a mail in rebate. I forgot, go check it out.

Kigama says:

I need a b350 board under 100$ wit the best overclocking performance for a ryzen 5 1600. Everything else is not interesting for me. So which one should I choose?

Which one is best for ryzen 5 1600x b350 tomahawk or b350 gaming pro carbon

RoTiSeRiE JoNeS says:

Great video! I own this board & I use it for my Ryzen 1700. I got my Ryzen 1700 running at 3.95ghz at 1.3875 volts, hit a 1754 on Cinebench, and it runs my memory at a nice 3200mhz. MSI has done an awesome job with BIOS updates as well. I just updated to the v17 bios today. My only knock on this board is that it is limited with its USB ports, but a person can get a USB hub to solve that.

Steve Kelly says:

Great vid. Thanks for pointing out the ATX model differences. I didn’t know it was just colours!

nerd _nikki says:

Very good work sir.

Daniel Delgado says:

Hey Tech Deals. Greetings from Mexico. I hope you can make a review of the tomahawk plus (b350). I’ve been watching your videos and i think you are one of the best reviewers, above of the most known. Hope you read this and you can help me giving me a full review as you know. Thank you, .

Aula Tech Media says:

looked for a review… best place to find it… but ive got some questions.
1. can i use all sata ports while using the m.2 slot? (yes im that kind of person who uses 2 ssd’s and 3 HDD’s so at least i can replace one ssd with an nvme).
2. if you use the m.2 slot… its under the gpu… will there be a heat issue?
3. ive read some stuff about the voltage for hitting 3,8-4ghz some can handle it under 1.4v some go above 1.4v is there a “no-go” area. just say dont go above 3.45v for example or do you think the board can handle it or are theses “problems” gone with bios updates and there is no need for going higher than 1.4 for hitting 3.9-4ghz? (i will use my old kraken x60 paird with 2×140 noctuas) i dont want spend half the day for finding out… i would start at 1.35 for 3.8 and would go higher if needed.
4. ive read alot of that “ram-issue” i have this tridentZ with 3200mhz. is this problem fix, that they cant run it at this “speed”
5. this board has 2 intern usb 3.0 ports… can i use booth or just one?

i hope someone can help out. thx for sharing this video. best regards from germany
