Arctic Liquid Freezer 120 w/ NZXT Kraken G12 GPU Cooler Review

Two great things happened here. First, I found that the Arctic Liquid Freezer 120 makes an amazing GPU cooler with the NZXT Kraken G12 bracket. Second, I figured out how to use the graphics card fan header to control the cooling fans. Check out the links below for more info and don’t forget to stop by for more news and reviews!
(I had to re-post this vid for a quick edit I couldn’t do after it published. I deleted the old one to make way for this.)

How about the Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 – is it working with the Kraken G12? Thanks.

I was going to order one of NZXT’s BLD (pre-built) computers, until they said they wouldn’t allow me to use this GPU cooler with it. Seems strange because: 1) it’s their part, and 2) the stock photo on their website shows a computer with the Kraken G12 installed. The salesperson put me on hold to double-check with his supervisor and came back to say they were “adamant” that there was “no way” they’d build a PC with the G12 in it and, if I bought one and installed it myself, they’d void my warranty (again, keep in mind, I was asking to use their part in their system). Seemed way too strange, so I went elsewhere.

I understand this may be difficult/costly, but is there any chance you could test with an NZXT G12 approved 120mm cooler, such as the Corsair H55 or EVGA CLC 120 for comparison? I know that these have the smaller radiators, but if cooling performance and noise levels are similar, it would be much more attractive to not have to deal with the install hassle of bending the fins down until they fit.
