So…. I have a laptop with a 6th gen i7 (idk the specific model) but, is safe to say that if I buy something with an 8th gen i5, is actually going to perform noticeably better than my current-old i7?

Maxim Chernykh says:

Wow, love that 😀

Very interesting. Jarrod, do you know anything about nvidia Quadro graphics cards? I seem them in work station laptops. If you don’t game, could those laptops be an option? I noticed HP zbook G series use them and those laptops are completely upgradable. The Quadro p1000m and 3000m look good. I just can’t find much info on them.

Guys, I need advice: i5-8300H with 1060 max-q or I7-7700HQ with 1060. Which config will get most FPS in games? (include undervolting/overclocking)

Thế Đăng Dương says:

Great video. Btw, I think GTA V is more CPU demanding game and Dark Souls 3 seem to be favor single core performance. You might want to check them out as well.

Damn..8300h with all core turbo at 3.9Ghz and 8Mb L3 cache? It’s like desktop i7 7700(4Ghz).Very powerful CPU!It can be paired with more better GPUs -1070 or 1080!

Altacal says:

Great Video! But my question is if I was to have a computer such as the Asus Tuf FX504 with the intel Core i5 8300h could I expect similar results to those shown in the video? It would be great if you respond and have a great day!

I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I must say they are very informative! I’m looking for a new laptop myself that has a good battery life so that I can take it to college and do some work on it without the battery running low too fast. However, I would love it to have some strong components as well which would make me able to do some basic video editing and play some games when I feel like it. What are the best recommendations you can give me for around €1000?

XxbeastZxX Bruhs says:

I like the i5 better

Techno Kreep says:

Yow plss MSI GP63 leopard 8re plss

Ralph Rabe says:

THANK YOU!

BlueFox says:

I think the substantial difference we see in fps is because of GPU lotteri, brand specific GPU clock, and thermal solutions between the two laptop, more than because of the 2 cpu’s in question. For this to be a more fair test, an external GPU via thunderbolt is required.

BlueFox says:

Oh and by the way, my laptop is running i7 7700hq with Dram frequency 2666, so it is not 8th gen. exclusive

Rusher02 Gaming says:

This hurts me 🙁 as I have a i7 7700hq and it’s now out performed by a i5. Nah I love it! It’s a sign technology is getting better. Over due benchmark but well done. Another epic video.

THE BATMAN says:

Mr. Dynamite says:
