MAKE EBAY & AMAZON STOP SELLING THIS SUGARHONEYICETEA TO US!!!
I was lucky that it lasted for about a month & didn’t fry anything but others had worse experiences with this expensive paperweight.
IF YOUR STILL GOING TO BUY THIS OR ANY GENERIC PSU, THEN YOU HAVE NO HELP.

I was thinking of buying this. Thank you!! 🙂 “IF YOUR STILL GOING TO BUY THIS OR ANY GENERIC PSU, THEN YOU HAVE NO HELP.” That’s what officially scared me off lol.
Make sure it has the 80+ certification on it, that means the power supply will not be a piece of shit.
im using generic PSU, for more than 4 years it still working.. generic PSU is not a problem to me.. Im using i3 and gtx 750 ti for about a year after upgrading my PC..and still its working fine…
OMG THIS GUY IS A DUMB FUCK. THAT IS NOT A SHIT PSU. IF U WANT TO SEE REAL SHIT PSU? GO LOOK AT CUBED COMPUTERS PSU VIDS THEN RELOOK AT THIS PSU…..ITS DESINT QUALITY ALL U NEED TO DO IS RECAP THE SECRNDARY. WHAT A DUMB FUCK

I bought a massively expensive gaming pc and gave it everything but a good psu. I’ve only powered it on to get Windows set up and let it install 5 hours of updates. The battery is a generic piece of crap and it doesn’t have enough wattage to support all of the computer’s power, so I’ve unplugged one of the graphics cards so I don’t accidentally burnout the system before my Thermaltake battery gets here from Newegg. Sucks but eh, hopefully someone will read this while building their pc and remember to put a good battery in it.
Only cheap power supply I will buy is Diablotek. the rest of the cheap power supplies are Garbage.
i have seen some relay bad psu’s from different brands lets make a list of all the rip off brands you have Sean. IL add to this list as i fined more i hope this can help you avoid buying a lethal psu.
EZcool
Ipine
Kemtek
ace
looks similar to the shitty noganet ones in my country
As for the comments below , LOL I didnt realize there was more than one way to install a PSU, LOL
i got a 450 wat at a thrift store, gonna see if its works well when i can.
It depends on the wattage load you guys got on it. It’s just a matter of time after that before they burn up. I bought one, I’ve been seeing so many complaints but then again I’ve seen so many complaints about good brands as well…If a product works for people they don’t bother to report it, but when it breaks. They take it to the forums.
I’d love to get that power supply… for the looks atleast, my power supply looks shit…
At least it have proper input filtering stages if I am not wrong. It is just overrated, not really extremely cheap junk yet.
One suggestion for best-buy psu (price/performance ratio). If you have in your country LC POWER- green power 3 series. Though LC POWER is not well known brand – that gp3 series like LC6460gp3, LC6560gp3 and LC6650gp3 – are some serious serious ass PSU. Very good quality, very quiet fan, unexpected strength
Why the fuck would you buy a cheap psu. This destroy your pc or catch fire. Literally I have a evga 500w and I can use my gtx 970 and a fx 8350 in it.
lol it’s funny it’s hundreds of ebay sellers that are selling kentek, quiet, shark, ect ..blah blah all the same company. but, what’s funny is almost all the sellers bad ratings are over these cheap ass psu’s that there selling..lol
guys zalman tx500 series 500 watts bronze 80 plus is a good psu ? bought it for 85 euro build: i7 6700 gtx 1060 3gb
Also buy seasonic psus. They rock.
CUNTec lol Seasonics arethe best
one of my pcs has xilence power supply.. its silver and as most would say “generic” no name brand. But its supposedly made in Germany and its been running fine for over 3 years no problems.. it was recommended by the guy who put the pc together so i assume he knows if its any good or not. If it was shit that blew up after 1 month of use he would be out of business. My point is shit psus never even reach their max output.. its probably closer to 70-60%.. so 1050 w psu is only half that if its no name brand. That xilence psu is rated 800w and the system used in total around 250-350w. Now it uses 150-250w.
damn i bought this one couple days ago thats okay i used it to it dies out I get a name brand one I should”nt put it in
I guess you had to learn it the hard way.
Never cheap out on psus
if u wanta cheap good psu get a kningwin
I see you didn’t get the memo about never buy generic.
Had the same issue with a custom pc i bought off ebay, it had a 500w inland psu…It fried an hour after i turned it on so i returned it for a refund
a good sign of a psu’s quality is the efficiency rating measured as 80+, 80+ bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. The best brands I can think of are Corsair, EVGA, Seasonic, Cooler Master, Aerocool, in no particular order. Personally, I’ve got a work pc with a Corsair 600w 80+ bronze modular psu, and a gaming pc with a Cooler Master 650w 80+ gold semi-modular psu.
Lol nice power supply you had there xD
My Kentek 600w PSU just died last night after having it run for 2 days.
You start the video with “people keep going for very cheap power supplies….” Like you arent one of the “people” that bought one?
I have had a Corsair 1200AX for over 6 years, and love it. Never a worry out of it.
No offence at all to you Doug.. Just thought it was funny that this guy is kinda acting like people are stupid for buying this psu.. He could remidy that whole feeling if he would just admit that he fell for it and should of done some research on psu’s.
I would not reccomend all corsairs, if you want guaranteed quality get a seasonic or EVGA.
Ive been building for 22 years and I should have known better than to buy this POS (piece of shit) I just put together a msi 970 gaming MB with and FX 9590 , 16 GB of DDR 3 ram, water cooled H110 CPU, two MSI R9 290X the works and being the dumb ass I can be this crapy power supply I am having issues anytime I try to run a power hunger game my pc will shut down or freeze, I have a cooler Master gold rated 1500 watt PSU that will be here tomorrow and then I am going to use this piece of shit as a tire block for my old truck with no emergency brake, lol
will u save the fan?
I think it really depends on the kind of hardware you’re trying to push. Using generic in a high end/custom pc isn’t really a good idea.
Is that a counterfeit CSA certification logo on that PSU?
Very helpful, TY! I “ALMOST” bought this…whew, I’m glad I looked at this video first!
