Intel vs AMD
Nicolas11x12 comparing the overall CPU performance offered by an Intel and an AMD processor. The Intel Core i7-3770K and AMD FX-8350 processors were used for this battle, both running at the stock speeds.

Intel System:
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K
GPU: MSI N660Ti-PE-2GD5/OC Power Edition 2GB GDDR5
RAM: Patriot Viper 3 8GB DDR3-2133 CL11
SSD: Intel SSD 520 Series 120GB
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB (WD1002FAEX)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB (ST2000DM001)
OS: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

AMD System:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
GPU: MSI N660Ti-PE-2GD5/OC Power Edition 2GB GDDR5
RAM: Patriot Viper 3 8GB DDR3-2133 CL11
SSD: Intel SSD 520 Series 120GB
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB (WD1002FAEX)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB (ST2000DM001)
MB: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

i think in last part of video amd is beating Intel by minor differences but as compared to price there’s huge difference so for budget build AMD is pretty nice

lilengine says:

At the start it showed intel had 1600 mhz vs amd 1400 mhz. hmm seems like amd won.

MRT says:

I like Intel and I have reasons for it. I have used AMD quite a lot, but prefer Intel, the performance. I think AMD makes some great multicore processors, I really do. But the issue is this. Game and software developers are still lagging behind in the usage of multicores, even after many years. So that is personally why I bought a core i5 with my latest machine over the hyperthreaded core i7. A 250 dollar price difference didn’t hurt things either, and the more expensive core i7 laptop didn’t come with a big SSD, just a small one with a big regular HDD for storage.

I had a 3rd gen core i7 on my last laptop, but my new 6th gen core i5 blows it away, at least in gaming and other multimedia tasks. The only difference I can find is that the extra threads help when you are running multiple applications on the desktop, that is it. Though I think that is only due to the fact I was running Windows 8.1 flawlessly on my old system and now I have Windows 10 which is technically impressive but not practical in everyday use. It is a resource hog, Windows 10. I would say if you are building a hardcore gaming system and plan to use Windows 10, and prefer Intel, go with the core i7. If you are going to build it on Windows 7 or 8, I think a core i5 will be more than adequate, given that those two operating systems are not as resource hungry as Windows 10. In fact I would personally say go with Windows 8.1, get a program like Start8 to emulate a Windows 7 GUI and you are golden. Windows 10 is a mess and is getting worse with each new updated, IMHO. But again, to each their own.

Ta jasne tak na prawdę jest lepsze amd od intel ponieważ intel daje takie drogie ceny a amd próbuje im dorównać i robi w tej samej cenie części ale lepsze .

amd is cheaper but still has amazing performance and intel expenisver that has also amazing performance still amd for the cheap prices they put is better+ i dont care about 2 or 4 fps more

The biggest thing holding these old AMD’s back are the single core performance figures. I do hope zen makes them competitive again to improve on this monopoly we have at the moment.
