This video show the pros and cons of each platform.
Ryzen has only been out for 3 weeks so making any kind of definitive conclusions on motherboards, memory speeds, etc is way premature. Intel had similar issues with Kabylake and skylake too. It’s normal with a brand new chip and supporting infrastructure.
The pricing on the Ryzen chips are priced that way because it’s about competing with Intel chips. It’s not about competing amongst themselves. AMD wants users to buy AMD instead of Intel because you get much better bang for the buck. The Ryzen 7 1880x is priced to compete with the 6900K.
Optane? That memory tech has been overhyped by Intel and it’s going to be super expensive too when it becomes available if ever.
choosing a $329 cpu that is faster than a $1000+ CPU and uses way less power is sidestepping or a step backwards, are you high? how do you form these irrational thoughts?
